Small Group Training

There are several advantages to working out with a group!


1. Working out with a group of friends is fun. When you work out with friends and in a group setting working out tends to be more fun.  I find the workout goes by faster and there is a fun social aspect involved.  In a group setting it opens up doors for more things to be implemented, such as games, relays, partner work, etc.  You will also make some new friends.


2. Working out with a group helps to keep you accountable.  When you are with a group you are held accountable.  If you miss a workout, your friends often ask where you were.  People are counting on you to show up and that makes it harder to back out.  If you miss some workouts you will also be held accountable by me.  No one wants to let the group down.  If you work out at home by yourself, it is a lot easier to just skip a day or go through the motions and not get as good of a workout done.  Knowing you have a group to meet and work out with, that will not happen.


3. When working out with a group you tend to work harder.  

I find this to be very true.  I, myself, notice a difference when I work out at home versus doing the same workout with a group.  You can feed off the energy of the group.  When other people are working hard around you, it is almost impossible not to work hard too.  The enthusiasm is contagious.  



Some common questions:


1. What if my fitness level is not the same as the group?  This is not a worry at all.  There are lots of different ability levels in the group.  The workouts also tend to be done in a way that your pace and ability does not matter.  We will, for example, do exercises for a certain amount of time.  So if you can do 10 reps and someone else can do 14 in the same amount of time, it doesn't matter.  We also do things like circuits and obstacle courses, etc. The group is very supportive and friendly and welcoming to women of all ages and fitness levels!


2. When, Where, Price?  The group meets at Goodyear Community Park which is located at 3151 N Litchfield Rd. Goodyear, AZ 85395. The sessions are M/W/TH/F at 5:30am-6:30am.  If you want to come all 4 days (or 3) it is only $140 for the month.  OR if you want to do the 2-day-a-week option, it is just $75 for the month.  This current group is for WOMEN ONLY.  If a group would be interested in another time and/or location I would be willing to look into starting another group.

 

3. Why so early?  This time is sometimes hard to get up for, but there are many advantages to this early morning time.  You get a workout in before your busy day gets started.  It is easy to let other things take priority to your health and push a workout back until tomorrow.  If you have a kid's sporting event or a happy hour date come up, no worries on having to choose because the workout is already done!  With this early time you cannot think; just wake up and go.  Then after the workout you usually leave in a good mood and with some endorphins running high.  You have a little extra pep in your step.  What a great way to start your day.  Before most people are even up, you already have your workout done and are ready to go.


4. How do I sign up?  It is easy!  All you have to do is email me at amyhennessypt@gmail.com.  I will have a wavier and a health history form for you to fill out. That is it!  Then just show up and have fun while getting in a great workout!
